An Apostille is a stamp (or certification) by a Competent Authority (a Secretary of State/Lt. Govenor, USDOJ, or USDOS) that is attached to your notarized, public, or vital documents that will be used outside the United States. Birth and Death Certificates that are signed by the County Clerk/Registrar Recorder may be Apostilled. Divorce Decrees and Certificates of Single Status may also be Apostilled with a same-day or two-day turnaround time back to you.
Many real estate documents may need to be notarized, and then Apostilled or Authenticated if they are to be used outside the United States, such as Grant Deeds, Warranty Deeds, Trust Transfer Deeds, and more.
